JOHN CARPENTER

Born in Carthage, New York in 1947, he is one of the most important genre directors in film history. After debuting in 1974 with Dark Star, he drew attention with his next film, Assault on Precinct 13 (1976) to secure his place as a successful filmmaker with Halloween (1978), great box office success and one of the milestones of slasher films. Already in the 80s and 90s he made a series of films that are already absolute classics such as The Fog (1980), Escape from New York (1981), The Thing (1982), Christine (1983), Big Trouble in Little China ( 1986), They Live (1988), Village of the Damned (1995) or Vampires (1998).
