Sinopsis

For Sara, summer just means dealing with constant mockery from other girls in her small town. But it all comes to an end when a stranger comes to town and kidnaps her tormentors. 

Carlota Pereda.

Born in 1975 in Madrid, Carlota Pereda is a director and scriptwriter for fiction films and series. After graduating from ECAM, she began her career as a scriptwriter, director and script supervisor on television series such as Periodistas, Acacias 38, El secreto de Puente Viejo, Lex, Los hombres de Paco and Águila Roja, for which she was nominated for the Iris from the Television Academy. Her first short film, Las rubias (2016), was selected in more than 140 national and international competitions and awarded at prestigious festivals. Piggy (2018), her second short film, was selected in more than 300 international festivals, obtaining more than 90 awards, including the Forqué and the Goya. Piggy (2022) is her first feature film. Premiered at Sundance 2022, it received several Goya Award nominations. Among them the one for the best new direction. Carlota is currently working on her next feature film.
