Sinopsis

Ki-taek is the patriarch of a poor family who lives poorly on a low floor in Seoul. His situation changes one day when his son gets recommended to give private English lessons at the home of the wealthy Park family. It is the beginning of an uncontrollable machinery, from which no one will emerge truly unscathed.

Bong Joon-ho

South Korean film director and screenwriter. He decided to become a filmmaker in high school, perhaps influenced by his artistic family. He debuted in 2000 with the black comedy Barking Dogs Never Bite that went discreetly through his country’s box office. Three years later he achieved his first great success, both in South Korea and internationally, with the magnificent thriller Memories of Murder (2003). His successful career continued with The Host (2006), Mother (2008), Snowpiercer (2013), Okja (2017) and last year he released Parasite with which he has definitely established himself as a successful filmmaker worldwide after getting 4 Oscars in the last American Film Academy Awards ceremony, including the best film and director.
