Sinopsis

Argentina, 1970s. A desperate young woman goes to a clinic to have a clandestine abortion. As her pregnancy is already through the fourth month, the doctor refuses. Instead, she proposes to sell the baby to one of her clients and offers to provide shelter in her house until the child is born. Their disturbed personalities will become intertwined in a strange and dangerous relationship.

Valentín Javier Diment

Argentinian filmmaker, he has a prolific and diversified career that includes participations as a screenwriter, director, actor, editor, and producer. His works mix genres in a very personal, intense, and powerful synthesis. Melodrama, dark humour, and crime are ubiquitous in his films, always highlighting characters’ deep humanity as well as their troubles and conflicts. He alternates between political documentary, drama, and genre. The Memory of the Dead (2011) and The Rotten Link (2015), his previous features, had excellent reception on the international festival circuit.
