Sinopsis

1863, United States of America. In a convoy in the American West, in search of a better life, Martha Jane’s father gets injured. So, she needs to learn how to take care of horses to drive the family wagon. Learning is tough and yet Martha Jane has never felt so free. In order to ride better she ends up wearing pants and cutting her hair. Thus, generating a huge scandal that will bring out her true character to face all the dangers she finds in a gigantic and wild world where everything is possible.

Rémi Chayé

Rémi Chayé discovered the world of animation by chance while working as an illustrator. In 2003, he enrolled at La Poudrière animation school, where he made three short films. He went on to work as a storyboard artist and/or assistant director on a number of films, including Brendan and the Secret of Kells (2008) – Oscar nominee for Best Animated Feature, The Painting (2011) – César Award for Best Animated Film, and Eleanor’s Secret (2009)- Special Mention at Annecy. Long Way North (2015) – Audience Award at Annecy, for which he was also graphic designer, was his debut feature film. He returns in 2020 with Calamity, which won the Cristal Award for Best Feature Film at Annecy.
